Blog Hop - Coloring with Writer's Block

Hello!
Welcome to the last stop on the first ever solo Nani ke Ola Blog Hop!
I hope you have found lots of inspiration along the way, these collections are so delicious and fun to work with.

I decided to do a layout on mine, a friend and I traveled to Vancouver, B.C Canada and went to a park with lots of bridges and such. It was a beautiful day and this park was amazing. The writer's block papers and word stickers worked perfectly for this layout, I kept it neutral with dashes of green.

One of my favorite pieces that come with all the 7 Dots studio collections are the word stickers, I could use all of them on a page if I thought it would look good!
For this layout I used three - "Walk off the page"
:a journey for the soul"
amd OFF "the Beaten Path"

Just goes to show those word stickers can be used for a lot of themes.

If you have decided that these collections need to be a part of your craft collection ASAP, don't forget that ALL the 7 Dots Studio papers are 30% off today and tomorrow.
These are easily one of our most popular collections and always go quick.

On a Ship with Stowaway

Ummm, its been almost a year since I posted! Well, I am going to be a lot more active, cause theres a few exciting things happening around here! Can't announce it yet, but I will  :)

I made a few pages earlier this summer, and kinda love them so I wanted to share. I first ran into the Stowaway from Quick Quotes over a year ago at the scrapbook convention in Puyallup. I was all ready to buy it! The blues and browns in this paper were perfect to use for my research cruise. Unfortunately the convention was all sold out,  BOO HOO

Its ok though, I just bought it for my Nani ke Ola store! There are all sorts of goodies included. Papers, vellum quotes, and cardstock quotes too. I think I need to buy more collections, it makes it easy to combine papers.

I am also in love with my Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays. The Industrial Chic colors are still my favorite. I am not usually a brown person, I prefer bright colors, but the Steampunk Sepia has turned into a favorite. I also used the embossing powders on the shipwheel chippie from UmWowStudio.

The vellum and cardstock pieces are all themed around adventure and travel. I loved the 4 words - Discover, Explore, Wander, and Dream. I wanted to accent these with some frames I cut with my Cameo. I also love sunsets and sunrises, which always reminds me to Dream. This page, as simple as it might seem, is probably one of my favorites in this album.

I almost used up that brown twine, almost!!!! There's a feeling of achievement when you use up all of a certain embellishment. Like this twine, it came with three colors, black brown and silver. Even if one gets used up, you better believe I will be at the store buying more! Well, I hope you like these pages, and if you love the blues of this collection, head on over to the Nani ke Ola store and pick it up, totally affordable and theres only a couple left.

Phew! A quick hello!

Hi Everyone!

It has been so long! My store has launched nicely, and I cant wait for CHA in Jan! For numerous reasons - first is of course to see all the new products, but also to just be warm!!!!! Disney will still have their winter magic going on and I would love to catch the end of that.

Anyways, part of owning my store, and distributing international brands in the US is being on the look out for new brands. I saw this one and immediately fell in love.

Take a look - its great. One is summer, and another is Christmas. May be a little late for Christmas, unless you are seasons behind, or even seasons ahead!!! I guess it depends on how fast you scrap haha. The summer collection is super cute though.

Enough of me babbling, go check it out! Brand new company, with a fresh fresh look.

Splash Mountain Layout

Yay its the weekend!!!

Got another layout to show off. I am loving scrapbooking my So Cal trip. Some of my pages are just fun, like the Winnie the Pooh and SeaWorld. Today I am going to show off my Splash Mountain layout. This one was based on some challenges of course. The Scrappy Friends did it again, and I had fun putting this one together.
So the first of the scrappy friends (in no particular order)

Kristi's Recipe - wood, mixed alphas, and stripes
Rochelle's Theme - travel
Brenda's Sketch -

And what I came up with.

Got a little creative with that recipe
Mixed alphas- it took a long time to find those fonts and the "Get Wet" sign. Love it though and it makes the page that much more

Wood- Theres a wood piece that the Good Times sign is based on, I painted over it with some white and a touch of blue. Also for wood the thorns that are on most of the page are cut from my wood paper. There's a wood log, and of course there's the wooden Splash Mountain sign. Come to think of it, there's a lot of "wood" in this layout.

The stripes I will admit are hard to see, the background green paper is striped.

Hope you enjoy. I love it.

Round and Round

Ahhh, it's been such a great summer so far!
My beans are starting to sprout. Now I understand why gardeners garden. My flowers are blooming and dying, and that is just sad. And the weeds. Ugh. But my vegetable! I love it. I love tending to those little veggies and getting to pick out a few tomatoes to go with dinner for the night. This whole veggie garden thing needs to be a regular habit for sure.

So, back to my layout. I didn't get a chance to scrap too much in July due to setting up my online scrap store. Plug plug, go check it out! Nani ke Ola Scrapbooking.  I am even looking for a design team. So if you want free stuff every month to play with, go check out this link. There is still about a week left to enter.

Ok, layout for real this time!
This one was part of the Paper Secrets Challenge. As soon as I saw the layout challenge I knew I had to do it. This layout was super great and pretty easy to work with.

Great layout!

And my interpretation

I had lots of fun with Queen & Co Washi tape, twine, and some glitter. It's a Disney layout, it has to have some glitter right?
And because I can't stand just plain white paper, I misted it with red. Seems to becoming a trend with my Disney layouts. White paper, red mist. And I love it.

Ok, You have a week to enter the Paper secrets Challenge, a week to apply for my Design team, and of course everyday to buy scrap supplies from my store. Go. Do it. And enjoy the upcoming weekend!

Pink "Dreams" Layout

Hi everyone!!

I have been MIA the past week or so. I would like to say its cause I have been stuffing my face with those Cheesey Biscuits, but hubby took them to work the next day and they were gone gone gone.
I have been busy though, I am proud to announce that I opened up my scrapbooking supply online store. Go check it out, Nani ke Ola, I am looking for those smaller designers that you can't just find at the local scrapbook store. At lease not where I live. I am totally loving ChicTags , and hope to bring in 7 Dots Studio by the end of August. They are on vacation now... I want a three week vacation in August! Who am I kidding, I am on a permanent vacation now.

Anyways, back on track.
Today I have a layout that I am in love with.

This layout was inspired by the Color me Scrappy Challenge.  They had a sketch and a color challenge to go together.

These colors were so fun to mix and match! I looked through my paper stash and found a fun pink with a little bit of blue mixed in. The upper corner of the layout behind the "Dreams" title I painted on a bit more blue to have some fun with it.

The tag and Dreams title were cut out with my silhouette of course. I love that dang Silhouette. And now they have released a new stamp set! Now are able to make our own stamps on the Silhouette. I am so excited. And its on sale. To buy or not to buy...... oh why am I even pretending.

This was a lot of fun to make. I had some sequins sitting around that fell into the blue motif, and strung them up from the button. I was kinda imagining the kids mobile and a dream catcher. Now all it needs is some pictures.

Enjoy! Hope everyone is having some fun in the sun! Please please go check out my online store. Any feedback on the store is welcome also, constructive criticism   :)
